Well I think ‘Spring’ has finally ‘Sprung’. As I look out of my
window I can see everything is now greening up – even the oak
tree at the bottom of my garden has at last woken up. I have the
privilege of walking my dog over fields and down a farm track and
have seen Spring develop, from snowdrops to daffodils,
primroses, cowslips and now bluebells.

But the secret is you actually have to pause and take in
this beauty. Look at all the shades of green, take in the
beauty of the flowers, shapes and colours, the blossom
on the trees. Stop and listen to the bird song. Whether in
your garden, in the park or just walking down the street,
pause, look, listen and take in the wonder of God’s creation and take a moment to
draw closer to the ‘Creator’ and give thanks.

I hope when you are reading this we are having more of those warm sunny days
and less of those grey, windy ones. But just remember even when we can’t see it,
the sun is shining, just covered, and even on our ‘grey’ days the SON is still there
we just need to connect with Him. So take time, stop, pause, look, give thanks and
reconnect.
